About the foal:
Wow, does this colt have some charisma! We are very pleased with him, and are happy to bring such old Crabbet lines to the preservation breeders out there. Venetian Sky CH is a great prospect as a herd sire - he shows good bone size, a nice, wide powerful chest and hindquarters, a floaty effortless trot with plenty of action at the knee and hock, a free shoulder, solid hooves, even the Crabbet ocular orb! Not to mention he displays that quiet observational thinking that so many of them are famous for. Venetian is a horse that will be successful as a saddleseat horse, or use his natural inclinations to be a great endurance racing stallion. After all, he does have some of the most successful endurance lines in the US close in his bloodlines!
About the lineage:
Venetian Sky CH's sire is the charismatic joker, a stallion who at the time of Venetian's birth was 22 years old and still taking championships in the AHA. He is a horse of supreme intelligence, great bone, and incredible longevity. His bloodlines are becoming quite rare, for close up in his pedigree are greats such as *Karadjorje+++, Gaffizon++, Ferzon, and Serafix, making him majority CMK. He became a National Champion in 2012, and even took 2010 Salon du Cheval Fifteen Year Old and Up Stallions WORLD CHAMPION against stallions much younger than him. He just doesn't quit!
Venetian Sky's dam Sky Dancer is a gorgeous mare who also looks much younger than she is. She is pure Crabbet breeding, something pretty rare in HF. In addition, she has greats such as Bint Gulida, Ferseyn, Serafix, Omagh, and Gulastra relatively close up in her pedigree. To top it off, she also displays the rare and beautiful Birdcather Spots that are believe to be due to the sabino gene.
